Hi Oilers!

So, if you read the Aroma Outfitters blog, you know that I’m not the most super controversial person around. I like to write about DIY projects, recipes, and my experiences with essential oils and why they’re my passion. I sometimes write about family life and how “oiling” has changed our health, mood, and habits.

But I had an experience that lead me to write the most controversial blog post I’ve ever posted. I even got a little political in it.

My “controversial” post isn’t really all that controversial if you’re a person with balance in your life.

Basically, in the post I pointed out how some people completely dismiss essential oils as being “hogwash” or “smelling nice but not really having any benefits.” They think that any benefits derived from essential oils amount to little more than a placebo effect.

Not only is that scientifically proven to be wrong—just check out the post, I link to numerous peer reviewed studies—it’s a silly way to think. It’s a wrongheaded way of thinking you could refer to as “condemnation without investigation.”

After having a chance encounter with someone who had this attitude, I went home and wrote that post in a single sitting.

Anyone who looks into essential oils with an open mind (and the willingness to do a modicum of research) will rather quickly realize that essential oils are effective and they do bring a ton of benefits into your life… if you’re balanced enough to see it.

And That’s When You Rethink Everything

Once you realize that essential oils are “legit,” you can’t help but start exploring the ways that you can use them in your life. Products filled with chemicals and 200 ingredients can be replaced with all natural alternatives with three ingredients. There’s beauty in that kind of simplicity, and I’m talking everything from shampoo to bug spray.
