Hi Tina,
Do you keep essential oils in your home medicine cabinet? Lots of people in our Community swear by them, so I thought I’d pass along an interesting resource I came across recently.
It’s a website that (if I’m doing the math right here! ;-) has curated nearly 10,000 testimonials from people who have used essential oils to heal everything from numbness to high blood pressure to PMS.
The site is Oil-Testimonials.com, it’s free to use, and it’s strictly an information resource—no sales pitches, just a wealth of information.
Essential oils are an important element in many of our home medicine kits—and, of course, the plants they’re pulled from are where the medicine starts.
That’s part of the reason I wasn’t surprised when I saw a list of every Community member who has completed at least one TGN certification—and noticed that our “Home Medicine 101” master class is the most popular certification … by far!
The fact that so many of our Community members have chosen to empower themselves with the knowledge they need to treat and heal themselves and their families naturally …
... without toxic chemicals or gut-destroying antibiotics …
... using herbs they can grow in their backyard …
… Well, it does my heart good. :-)
And I want to offer HUGE congratulations to all those who have completed not only “Home Medicine 101,” but also the other awesome certifications available through membership in our Honors Lab—"Saving Quality Seeds,” “Instant Master Gardener,” and “Bio-Intensive Gardening.”
Oh, and if you’re not an Honors Lab member, but would like access to our 8-week “Home Medicine 101” certification course, you can enroll in "Home Medicine 101" here.
(Honors Lab members, you already have access to this certification as part of your membership subscription. You’ll find it in the “My Certifications” section of your dashboard.)
Speaking of subscriptions, Valentine’s Day is coming pretty quickly here, and—as Ruth, our social media manager, likes to say—we’ve been “thinking outside the chocolate box” this year for gift ideas.
Our team liked the idea of “gifts that keep on giving,” and we’ve compiled some pretty cool subscription ideas for you on the blog.
Have a wonderful weekend,
P.S. I wanted to mention—we’re running a contest this month! Anyone who purchases TGN’s “Home Medicine 101” certification in February will be entered in a drawing to win a $100 gift card to Mountain Rose Herbs.Click here to buy “Home Medicine 101” now!

Hi Tina,
I’m traveling in Colorado right now, and it’s a bit chillier here than it is at home in Central Texas! ;-) Good thing I read my own blog posts … because, this week, we’ve got all you folks living (and traveling!) in cold weather covered.
First up is today’s post:
In it, I share my three best tips for staying warm in the winter months when you’re outside cutting firewood, pruning your blackberries and grape vines, tending livestock … or even just having a snowball fight with your kids or grandkids!
Next, check out a couple of posts on the blog this week that deal with surviving – and thriving – in cold weather … but for two different species. ;-)
First, for the humans: “The Kidney Wrap: Prepare Your Body for Winter”demonstrates an age-old, but widely forgotten, way to soothe your adrenals during the winter months.
And the second article is for the birds. Literally. :-)
In it, Tasha Greer kicks off our new series on “Cold-Weather Chicken Care” with an article that offers 11 quick and easy ways to help keep your chickens happy and healthy when the temperatures plummet.
Alright, well, it’s time for me to head out into the Colorado cold again….
Stay warm, and have a great rest of the week!

P.S. Remember to grab your FREE access pass to Dr. Z's 10-part video master class, "Essential Oils for Abundant Living"! It will give you the confidence you need to make healing remedies for your body and non-toxic natural recipes for your home with essential oils.
The event starts Tuesday, February 20, so click here to reserve your spot!
